Study Medicine Europe's "open day" AKA THE MARKETING STUNTS

People defending Study Medicine Europe because they've been to their open day are sadly misguided.

They ask you for money and promise you everything you can dream of. I understand you're desperate to study medicine or dentistry in Europe because that's your dream. However, don't be blinded by logic and don't believe everything the infamous Aris tells you.

The moon on a stick can be sold to you... for a price!

Don't be that gullible customer. Do your research and don't fall for their deception. There's plenty of other legitimate agencies out there.

So you've been to the open day and saw how glamorous everything is. How the current students are all living it up in Eastern Europe. How the officials and consulates are condoning the idea. You just can't help but be amazed and uplifted by all these inspirational people who want to help you reach you dream!

REALITY CHECK!

IT'S ALL FAKE.

They're all corrupt and fake dolled up and paid to say whatever the hell they're asked to say.

So you meet students at an event in the UK who should have been back in Bulgaria and Romania studying?

Well yes, Sofia and Bucharest are just a short bus ride away. Hmmmmmm...they must have come to this "open day" out of the goodness of their heart???

Sure they were not getting paid by Mr Aris to say what he wanted them to say? That could never happen at his event could it?

And there are no UK grads from Bulgaria working in the UK as the dentistry programmes there and some of the medical programs (in English) are not yet more than 3-4 years old! But you can count on study medicine europe to scam you by uploading a few fake "day-to-day vlogs" on youtube about the lives of their graduates - who happen to be actors (SHOCK HORROR! Who would've thought!).

Or perhaps it is the university that is lying on its website? SOURCE

Further, throughout the event there is never any mention of costs for the service they claim to offer at the open event and when asked, Aris did not seem to have a direct answer. Source

Some students reported that Study medicine Europe demanded up to £6000 for filling in a god damn application form! But sugar coated it with other services such as 6 years of full support and guaranteed job after graduation. FAKE! If you are silly enough to fork out that much and do have the off 1/50 chance of getting in then they will leave you at the university gate and send you on your way.  They want nothing to do with you after you've paid. Source

Someone who's been to the SME open day said to us "even though students kept asking for loans they said NO BANKS GIVE LOANS. That was all they said. So dont be fooled into thinking you can get a loan. I know a turkish/british girl who paid £500 to SME as a deposit thinking she could get a loan but they told her its very hard and that its highly unlikely that you can get one. Sorry to ruin your hopes." Source

This is true because as a UK student abroad I can guarantee you that it will be impossible for any foreigner to get the loan. Do not get conned into paying the fees for a loan to then end up empty handed and set back another £500 out of the £6000 you're having to fork out, because you will.

Oh but wait! They say they're GMC and GDC accredited! ...you're being misled again. The GDC regulate doctors and dentists not dodgy agents who run off back to Greece with your money!

And there are no UK grads from Bulgaria working in the UK as the dentistry programmes there and some medicine programs (in English) are not yet more than 3-4 years old.
I suggest you do your research before you fall for their fake marketing pitch, because that's all it is, before they talk you into handing over a load of money you will never see again and then find your sugar coated almond is rotten when you bite into it.

If you want to be a doctor or dentist you need to be able to draw your own conclusions from what you observe. The world and especially Eastern Europe is not sugar coated.

Good luck!

  1. I am also a previous client of SME and they helped me not only understand the process but also helped me throughout. They helped in my visa, load application, possible scholarship programs, etc. So, as a happy client I disagree to what you are saying.

  2. I am expecting some good luck & wishes from the readers who can congratulate me for getting admission in one of the medical university in Europe. Can't see if I am doing any marketing here.

  3. SME does a workmanship to the students in bringing right choices to their careers. I was fortunate with their counseling and efforts they put in my admission process for a deemed university in Europe. In extent to that, they support me with scholarship programs offered by university and bang on.. I got a decent discount in my course as well.

I have a doubt on the above post, is it a marketing stunt from your side to defame such a great counseling platform?

  4. As already mentioned in the blog " Do your research", so rather than believing such blogs, it is important to do your own research. I would only say that rather than getting misguided from such blogs, focus on your goals and trust your instinct.

  5. Seriously just because you want to defame someone who is actually helping student to get their dream universities, you write anything. SME helps many students every year and I am one of them.
